In a world becoming more interconnected and technologically focused, we all feel like our lives are speeding up, not slowing down. With a million things pulling us in opposite directions, it’s easy to be distracted and let once-prominent goals slip right between our fingers. It’s easy to lose the path you once set out or have other issues become prevalent for a time; however, doing so for so long uncovers two simple truths:
In March we celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month first observed in 1911. The goal is to highlight and recognize women’s achievements in all spheres, and to bring attention to important issues such as gender discrimination that continue to exist. We celebrate this month to recognize women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements.
We’re all used to end-of-year celebrations. We don’t often acknowledge how full the beginning of a new year brings more opportunities to celebrate culture, historical figures, trophy events, and the love of family and friends. All that can brighten our February days.

If you’re like many, we end the year only to realize that we’ve abandoned the original New Year’s resolution, then set a new one for the upcoming year. So, let’s take control of 2022 by setting realistic goals and not forgetting about them. Make a promise to yourself that you will check back on the list and reflect. Cheers to 2022!
